About Rob Searle
I have been an FD since 2003, gaining experience within dynamic entrepreneurial SME businesses across diverse sectors and disciplines (listed below). I have a real passion for working with like minded people to drive performance improvement and unlock potential. Having worked with many owner managed businesses across my career to date, I pride myself on being a supporting and guiding influence for senior management and particularly the owners/MDs.
In 2015 I set up CFD to help owner managed businesses that want access to a highly skilled and experienced finance department, but have not yet reached the stage where this is an affordable option. CFD enables SME’s to tap into a first-class finance department, which utilizes the latest cloud-based technologies, all for a reasonable fixed monthly cost.
I have built several finance departments in which I have a history of positive change management, developing critical performance measurement tools. I consistently improve processes throughout the business, employing the latest technology. Through these skills I have been able to bridge the gap between developing and guiding board level strategy and rolling my sleeves up to work alongside operational teams.
I have M&A experience from the FD seat, through the successful completion of a number of deals, including SME disposals, an MBO, an acquisition, merger (3 into 1) and creation of a 10 member Producer Organisation.
